Using words to honor
|
Words can be used to create beauty and truth, as God intended, OR they can be used to tear down and tell lies, as God did not. I CHOOSE BEAUTY "God wove a web of loveliness, Of clouds and stars and birds. But made not anything at all So beautiful as words. They shine around our golden earth With golden shadowings, And every common thing they touch Is exquisite with wings." Ann Hemstead Branch AND I CHOOSE TRUTH "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14 ESV "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT Based on these values come wholesome children's stories, such as Granny Mae books, which use wit and laughter to delight children; the "Who Am I?" series, written for young children to present God's view on gender identity; and the teen Jesus' Words' for Teens Bible Study series, designed to lead those who have not received Christ as Savior to salvation while strengthening the faith of others through DIGGING IN to God's holy Word. |
