Using words to honor
Words can be used to create beauty and truth, as God intended, OR they can be used to tear down and tell lies,
as God did not.
I CHOOSE BEAUTY
"God wove a web of loveliness,
Of clouds and stars and birds.
But made not anything at all
So beautiful as words.
They shine around our golden earth
With golden shadowings,
And every common thing they touch
Is exquisite with wings."
Ann Hemstead Branch
AND I CHOOSE TRUTH
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14 ESV
"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT
Based on these values come wholesome children's stories, such as Granny Mae Saves the Day, which uses wit and laughter to delight children, and the teen Jesus' Words' for Teens Bible study series, designed to lead those who have not received Christ as Savior to salvation while strengthening the faith of others through DIGGING IN to God's holy Word.
Today's culture brings many challenges to the faith and walk of Christian teens. Are they firmly
rooted in God's Word, and will they then be able to withstand the plans of Satan, God's arch-enemy, who desires to steal, kill, and destroy? (John 10:10)
The Jesus' Words for Teens series is written to help teens build their Christian faith and walk. It
challenges them to DIG IN to God's Word for understanding and wisdom, but moreover to develop a deep, abiding love for God with hearts longing to obey and please Him.
In this study, youth will learn the meaning of standing tall, hypocrisy, and blindly following others. They will study God's design for and definition of the marriage covenant as well as the basis for divorce. Then they will look at persecution.
Finally, teens will examine their hearts. What do they really believe about God, His Word, and Jesus? Have they truly accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior?
As is God's heart, so is the author's, that none should perish! 2 Peter 3:9 I therefore urge you to join with today's youth and DIG IN!
